I have to agree, Blackpool Zoo is much better than Chester Zoo. It is possible to see all of Blackpool Zoo in a couple of hours, whereas in Chester everything seems to be spread out. It really is a pity you missed the lights, they are usually the highlight of any visit to Blackpool. Most people drive through the lights and then drive home.
