You have my sympathy, that’s a nasty looking break. I did similar last year but only broke my collarbone in one place. I’d guess you might need surgery for your injury.

The depressing part is one minute you feel fit and on top of you’re game, then suddenly the game changes. After the initial pain it’s a mental effort as you come to terms with not doing what you previously took for granted.

Having said that, you WILL heal! And it’s amazing how it all comes together again – so stay positive. If it helps, I wrote up my thoughts on the ‘NHS collarbone experience’ (hope you don’t mind the link drop).

Ouch. Heal soon. Didn’t go too well for me, either – crashed on practise lap on a completely innocuous but very fast bit and have just got back from A&E sporting the biggest wrist cast known to man. Back on Wednesday to talk about pins. We can compare scars in September
