| Blimey – it’s flying by, isn’t it. The little baby is now four years old. Lily had a great party with fourteen friends and a cake fit for a princess. | ||
| Lily’s youngest cousin, Olly, was one last week, and on Saturday there was a lovely party to celebrate – we also had Fiona (Katie’s elder sister), Jenny and Lucy (her daughters) to stay for the weekend. Lovely time. See the party video here. |

Andrew, Denise and Will Hughes come to stay for a couple of nights and we enjoy a day out at Bowland Boar Park as well as a bit of milling about at home. A fun time once more. Also includes photo of Lily’s newly decorated bedroom…. in pink…. unsurprisingly.
A flying trip up to the Lakes with my colleague Gareth for a long awaited summit ascent. Dazzling weather meant a good deal of people had similar ideas, but we managed to circumvent the queues on Striding Edge largely by jumping over people’s heads and standing on their hands. A lovely dip in Red Tarn rounded things off superbly for yet anohter memorable day in this seemingly endless British summer.
A wonderful long weekend at Phil and Anne’s house for Phil’s 40th – a brilliant party (but I didn’t get too many good photos of the actual party – Phil’s photos are here). Then a lovely time just being around the house with family, and a trip to the seaside at Crackington Haven in Cornwall.
