A rain-free family holiday at a cottage in Carnduncan on the isle of Islay for a week. Sunny beaches with a waterproof to keep the wind off! A day trip cycling to Craighouse on the isle of Jura. Fantastic time. See the 10 minute video here.
| It’s been a long slow haul and almost four years since we moved in but we’re on the last leg of doing up our house. 15 months ago, the old extension was pulled dfown and I had the satisfying task of putting the kitchen units in last week. A whole week off work was a rewarding one and along with invaluable help from Alan (the joiner who worked on our house before his boss left us all in the lurch and went bankrupt!), we got all the units, plumbing, electrics and appliances sorted. The blue is just a film cover to protect the doors… it’s going to be very very very shiny white. The first two are what it looked like in February 2005, and the last two photos are where we are to date….

Just one photo – but it has to be published – Lily Haygarth in formal pose.
… well not quite our first house guests ever – just our first ones since starting to do up the house – so an adventure of sorts – and a bit of a watershed with the house refurbs. We had a great three days and nights and it was very prescious for us to watch all the children having such a memorable, happy time.
A lovely busy couple of days at Graeme and Fiona’s for a bit of horse riding, lots of eating, some obligatory bouncing and the odd drink…! Brilliant fun as always. Sally, Simon and Olly came up there too, so it was a bit of a family do.
