They're 570mm but only on for the week 'til I've got the 'race' out of the way at Hit the North, then I can upgrade to full Calderdale width.

Hi,

I use 23mm Vittoria tyres. My peers woe perhaps sneer at me but I try to use common sense rather than recommended widths / capacity. The tyre beads well into the rim but I considered it an OBVIOUS measure to fill the chamber with a 35mm inner tube. I reckon that's the clincher in all of this (sorry for the pun)

Hello Sir !

I am really pleased by your poetic review and also have many questions about your wheelset used on your pretty Dirty Disco. I have read that 700X23mm skinny road tyres were used on this related ride. What are the wheels used to ride ?
It seems these are the On One 29er mtb wheelset. But after reading their specs, the inner rim is said to mesure 23,5mm and the outer rim is said to mesure 19mm.
How does your 23mm tyres fit in real life ? Is it ok to fit skinny road tyres on such wide rims ?

Thanks a lot

Maxime
